They obviously knew some correct facts about them but it seemed that they knew them like they had spent a lifetime with them. They bragged about how great their religions was and how idiotic the Natives must be to be following a god that does not exist. It seemed sort of stuck up writing so much about these “barbarians” (as they called them) when they did not know any of them. Right away they assumed they were savages and unconstructed and uncivilized human beings. That things needed to be changed in their way of life that they had been following since the dawn of time. Yes though the missionaries could have helped the Natives with their life style, fore example getting through the harsh winters. Also improving huntings as they did and many other things. But going out of your way to change a whole culture, and a culture they knew nothing about. Well it seems very drastic and ridiculous. The Natives loved the way they lived and they did a pretty good job at it so i do think that the Missionaries should have stopped judging them and trying to change them and get to know them more.
